Overview
About the Marangu Route
The Marangu Route — affectionately nicknamed the "Coca-Cola Route" — is the most popular and traditionally the most accessible path up Kilimanjaro. It is the only route that ascends and descends the same trail, and the only one that features permanent sleeping huts (rather than tents), making it a comfortable choice for climbers seeking shelter accommodation. The route begins at Marangu Gate on the southeastern side of the mountain, winding through lush rainforest before ascending into the heath and moorland zones, ultimately reaching Uhuru Peak at 5,895 metres.
Your booking contributes to the Happy Miracle Children's Foundation — providing shelter and education for vulnerable children in Arusha.
